Sponsored Fun Run
St Matthew’s Sponsored Fun Run – Friday 3rd March 2017
We are excited to invite you to support us in our inaugural Sponsored Fun Run, which will take place on Friday 3rd March from 1:30pm onwards. Due to Government cuts in education we are hoping to raise money to support our school and we are planning a fund raising event which will help us to keep on providing some of the learning experiences your children currently benefit from.
Reception and KS1 will be completing laps of the school field and running a total distance of 1Km.
KS2 children will begin their race on the school field but will then follow a 2Km route outside school along the pathways close to school.
The students will be running with their Houses and there will be 200 house points up for grabs for the house that raises the most sponsorship money, as well as 100 house points for the individual who generates the most money.
Organisation of the Afternoon
1:30pm Reception and KS1 children begin their run around the school field.
2:00pm KS2 children will begin their run.
Every aspect of the Fun Run has been thought through carefully; the route will be lined with staff from school and from Dave Earnden Coaching Ltd. We have a number of staff who are First Aid trained and they will be stationed along the route. A full risk assessment has been conducted.
We would be grateful if you could please support this event in the following ways:-
Dave Earnden has very kindly donated 4 ‘raffle prizes’ so any child who raises more than £30 in sponsorship money will be entered for the draw and could win…
If you would like to help out on the day please contact the school office.
