For the 2017 to 2018 academic year, 30 pupils within our year 6 cohort are meeting the national curriculum requirement to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres, use a range of strokes effectively and perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations.
For the 2018-2019, 27 out of 32 pupils within our year 6 cohort are on target to meet the national curriculum requirement to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres, use a range of strokes effectively and perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations. The 5 pupils not on target will receive extra tuition in the 2018-2019 academic year. This will be at a cost of £16.oo per hour, total cost for 5 sessions estimated to be £320.00.
